| Policy |
Generally speaking, the DSN provides access to facilities, rather than a radio astronomy service. Currently, only VLBI is offered as a service. As the automation of R&D activities increases, more types of radio astronomy may be offered as services. |
| People |
Tom Kuiper serves as the initial point of contact for inquiries about the use of the DSN in radio astronomy. Numerous other people provide support to radio astronomers. |
| Organizations |
Responsibility for the support of radio astronomy is shared by several organizations. Generally, the investigators do not need to concern themselves with the details of this. |
| Services |
The Telecommunications and Mission Operations (TMO) Science Office provides a number of services in support of radio astronomy in the DSN. |
| Software |
Legal issues prevent us from allowing unrestricted access to the software we develop and maintain. However, external investigators and collaborators can request access by contacting Tom Kuiper. |
